2024-03-17 Last Day and the Trip Home
The forecast was for a windy day - all day! When Louise and I got down to the beach, Kent was just going out. The wind looked good, and was forecast to increase later on in the day.
I rigged a 4.5m Wing for Louise and she went out and had a pretty good run. I then offered to walk her board up to Baja Joe's for her so she could have a bit of a downwinder. She really enjoys those - so I took her board and a 5.5m wing and sailed it up to Playa Central for her, (a little more than 1km up the beach). She walked up with a 4.0 wing so she could take the board, and I could walk back with mine. She really enjoyed that and got on foil a number of times. By the time she got back, she was excited, but tired and done! Good day.

| Louise - Foiling |
Kent was still out when we packed up and went up to the casita's. He later told me that he did about 105km for the day. He is really enjoying the swell and learning how to flag the sail and surf the waves! His learning curve has been virtually straight up this week. He is still complaining about the slingshot equipment being .005% slower, but I have never seen him sail better!!!

| Ted - Final Jibe of the trip! |
Back at the Casita, I dismantled my foils and began packing. I went to the Party Palace for a while, and thanked Charles for all his help this week. He said that Kent, Jim, and Blaine had re-ignited his love of Windsurf Foiling. He said he really enjoyed getting out with us, and he now thinks he will maybe have to buy his own Windsurf Foil rig for at home in Quebec!
Wyatt and Zaira were getting dressed up for a Disco/St. Paddy's night at Baja Joe's. They had costumes for us, but we declined.
Instead we walked back to Baja Grill and had a great meal. The service and friendly atmosphere make that place really special!
2024-03-18 The trip home.
Our shuttle arrived at 8:30. While Wyatt and Charles had said they would be there to see us off, I suspect they had all had too much fun at Baja Joe's the night before and hadn't surfaced yet. Phillip was there and came out to see us off.
The shuttle ride was easy, and we arrived at the airport in lots of time. Check-in and Security was a breeze, and our plane was on time.
Louise and I had a nice surprise - as our friend, Juanita, was the captain of our WestJet flight home. She greeted us when we got on the plane, and then met us in the luggage area afterwards. So great to connect again!
What a great trip! Thanks for Joining Us (Virtually)...
