2024-03-15 The Wind is Back
The forecast looked pretty good today, and then very solid for our last two days here, Saturday and Sunday.
Louise and I headed down to the beach around noon. Kent was already rigging. He was rigging a Severne Wave sail, which he ended up really liking.
I was still feeling awful (sick) so decided to stay on the beach and take photos - saving myself for the "Big Days", tomorrow and Sunday.
Kent got out in the water, uphauled, pumped up, and was gone. He stayed way outside, so I don't have any photos of him. He had a great sail for about 40km until the wind lightened up a bit. He dropped off a plane during one jibe, and that was it, he had a long slog back. He said that if he had been able to keep his board off the water, he probably could have foiled all the way back....

I rigged a 5.5m wing for Louise. She had a couple of sessions, stayed up wind, and got on the foil quite a bit, but she was a bit frustrated. I think she just needed a touch more wind.

I spent the afternoon taking photos of the people we are getting to know, here at ProWindsurf.
At around 3:00, I headed back to the room for a nap, and then to edit photos.
Kent, Lorna, Louise and I went to La Tuna for supper, and then an Ice Cream. It was pleasant sitting outside, looking out over the bay. The food was good, and the Ice Cream was excellent!
While we were having our ice cream, we met our friends, Clint and Lolo, from the Las Palmas Campground. They are leaving next Thursday.
I think the season is winding down for everyone.
