2024-03-04 Travel Day - ProWindsurf - La Ventana

Louise and I got to the airport early at -25C (-32 wind chill) on snowy roads. Cleared security quickly and went for breakfast at Chili’s. As we were finishing, Kent and Lorna arrived, then Jim, Cam, and Blaine came a bit later. Great to see everyone! Blaine said that they had seen Gerry and Julie in the airport waiting for a flight to Toronto, and then off to Italy. Too funny.
Our flight was on-time, and arrived 30 minutes early in Cabo. Immigration was easy, but the baggage retrieval and then inspection took a while. Louise and I lucked out, taking the outside line and got through quickly, but everyone else was stuck in the line for about an hour.
Our shuttle was ready for us when we all eventually got out of the airport with a nice air temperature of 25C. We stopped for a dozen beer at a road side store and then, other than Cam whining “are we there yet”, we enjoyed the 2.5 hour drive – great time to catch up!
We arrived at ProWindsurf around 4:30 and were welcomed by Wyatt and Zaira to Pro Windsurf. After settling in, we took a tour of the beach and board shack (equipment shed).
We walked to Baja Grill for supper, and I think everyone was impressed with the food and particularly the Pork Shank!
After supper, Kent drove us to the Star Market where we picked up some groceries for breakfast.
Early to bed – looking forward to sailing tomorrow.
